AQUAFOREST PO4 BOOST | 200ML
Professional & highly efficient phosphorus supplement for aquatic plants
AQUAFOREST PO4 Boost is a professional easily absorbable phosphorus fertilizer for aquatic plants. Phosphorus is a particularly important element for plants. A component of many types of proteins and enzymes, it also helps to build DNA. It is the main battery and energy conveyor in processes occurring within the cells. Phosphorus deficiencies are manifested by hindered plant growth and development, as well as leaf discoloration. The appropriate level of phosphates in the plant aquarium should be 0.5-1.5 mg/l. AF PO4 Boost is a formula which ensures the correct level of phosphate content in the aquarium.
HOW TO USE:
10 ml AF PO4 Boost dissolved in 100 liters of water raises the phosphate level by 0.4 mg / l.
Recommended : parallel use with AF Micro, AF N Boost, and AF K Boost.
WARNING :
- Absorbents such as zeolite and/or carbon may reduce effectiveness of the formula.
- The phosphate level should be under control.
- Its excess may result in growth of algae, especially the red algae.
- Only for aquatic purposes.
- Protect from sunlight.
- Keep at room temperature in a tightly closed container, keep out of reach of children.
| AF Shrimp GH+ 250ml
AF Shrimp GH+ is a Professional preparation for mineralizing RO water, designed especially for breeding shrimps, especially Bee and Cristal species. Thanks to the use of natural ingredients, it enriches the water with all the minerals necessary for the aquarium inhabitants and guarantees the perfect water parameters. The unique formula was enriched with iron. It supplements the water with calcium, magnesium and potassium in the perfect ratio. It prevents inadequate levels of the elements that could lead to serious moulting and reproduction problems of shrimps. The liquid form provides easy and comfortable use. The perfect selection of ingredients leaves the water perfectly clear, without haziness or white tint. It guarantees healthy growth of shrimps and the proper moulting. Proper water mineralization allows the shrimp to take all the necessary minerals directly from the water, including calcium necessary for building and hardening the shell.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
- The product increases the total hardness (GH), leaving the carbonate hardness unchanged (KH)
- Mineralizes RO, deionized and distilled water
- Provides essential minerals
- Guarantees perfect water parameters
HOW TO USE:
- For GH 5 – 3 ml/5 l of water
- Mix with water outside the aquarium
- After mixing, the water is ready to use immediately
IMPORTANT
Due to the high content of minerals, sediment may appear in the bottom of the bottle, this is completely natural and does not indicate a product defect. The sediment also doesn’t affect the clarity of the water using in the aquarium. | AF N Boost (200ml)
Professional easily absorbable nitrogen fertilizer for aquatic plants. Nitrogen is one of the most important macronutrients necessary for plants. The presence of nitrogen influences the growth of the plant, its propagation, and the green coloration of leaves. Proper supplementation of nitrogen is essential as both deficiency and excess may be detrimental to plants. Nitrogen deficiency causes growth inhibition, chlorosis and yellowing of the leaves, and further browning. The excess, on the other hand, is manifested by excessive growth, dark green leaves, while the plant is very delicate and less resistant to mechanical damage. The appropriate level of nitrate in the plant aquarium should be 10-20 mg/l. Nitrogen is absorbed by plants mainly in the form of nitrate and ammonium. AF N Boost contains mineral nitrogen forms that are well absorbed by aquatic plants.
HOW TO USE:
10 ml of AF N Boost dissolved in 100 l of water raises the nitrate level by 9.5 mg/l. Recommended parallel use with AF Micro, AF PO4 Boost, and AF K Boost. Do not use it with other nitrogen-containing formulas due to the risk of plant overgrowth and algae bloom.
1 ml in 10 l of aquarium water will raise levels:
NO3 Nitrate 9,5 mg/l (ppm)
| AF Anti Phosphate is a high-quality phosphate adsorption media designed for use in freshwater aquariums. An aquarium with unbalanced nitrate and phosphate levels can lead to the development of cyanobacteria and nuisance red algae. AF Anti Phosphate media helps to keep these nutrients in balance without affecting vitamins and crucial micronutrients in your system.
- Filter media for eliminating phosphates from the aquarium
- Great for red algae and cyanobacteria management
- Recommended for lightly planted tanks, overstocked tanks, and Malawi an Tanganyika biotope tanks
- Promotes clear water and optimal conditions for plant growth
Use:
- Place in filter basket
- Use 50mL of product per 100L of fresh water
| ADA Super 4 Aquarium Additive is now called Super Pour.
The pack contains ADA substrate additives in individual packets.
It is recommended to sprinkle the ADA Super 4 on a glass base before filling anything in order to promote the work of microorganisms and enhance the inefficiency of soil or decorative sand.
As the substrate cannot make a fresh start right after the setup, it is important to prepare the substrate in a nearly perfect condition at the time of the initial aquarium setup.
ADA Super 4 (Substrate Additives)
To promote the work of microorganisms, it is advised to sprinkle the following under the soil
Bacter 100
Has more than 100 kinds of substrate bacteria in a dormant state.
Sprinkling on the base substrate can make an ideal substrate environment.
It can suppress the growth of green algae. (By applying a bit of it to the affected portion)
Clear Super
A substrate additive made from activated carbon and organic acid.
Clear Super helps the growth of micro organisms.
Sprinkling on the base substrate, promotes the growth of micro organisms in the substrate and stabilizes the environment.
Tourmaline BC
Has fine bamboo charcoal, giving it the ability to absorb organic pollutant substances.
Add some over the substrate during the initial set-up and it will help to improve the substrate environment.
Features
- Improves biological filtration and increases water clarity.
- Suppress the growth of green algae
- Contains more than 100 kinds of substrate bacteria
- Helps the growth of micro organisms
- Absorb organic pollutant substances
- Prevents the substrate from becoming anaerobic
Note: *Do not mix in water as written on the package.
*Do not use in marine aquariums. |
2Hr Aquarist APT Fix
The smarter way to treat algae.
Especially effective for BBA, hair/string/fuzz and most forms of filamentous algae.
Gently biodegrades completely.
Spot-dose up to 1ml per 10L every 24 hours.
An unfair advantage
While healthy plant mass is the #1 natural defence against algae, life is often unpredictable.
The filter or CO2 diffuser gets clogged. Grandpa overfeeds the fish. The auto-timer takes an unannounced holiday.
These shocks ( seemingly insignificant to us) weaken plants and give algae a window of opportunity to spawn.
APT Fix works to rebalance the system by targeting the fundamental weakness of algae- their comparatively less developed protective cell walls. When spot-dosed per the recommended dosage, it instantly arrests algae growth while allowing plants to recover.
This is an effective approach for removing algae on hardscape: wood and rocks. Avoid this method for plants.
This is our usual approach to treat algae on plants. To increase effectiveness, pause the filter before spot-dosing. And don’t forget to turn the filter back on! Avoid this method for treating algae on Mosses, Liverworts (Riccardia and Riccia etc.) and Vallisneria (Tape Grass).
No copper
Most algae treatments use compounds that contain Copper, which is a powerful biocide.
The problem is that copper, like other heavy metals, accumulate over time and do long term damage to the tank’s ecosystem.
APT Fix uses an active compound that biodegrades naturally within 24hours, with no nasty residues.
Dominant plant mass
The best natural defence against algae is a healthy dominant plant mass. Tanks with alot of exposed, un-planted areas are far more susceptible to algae, in the same way that fertile open fields invite weeds to grow.
Aim to have at least 70% of the substrate planted. Plants are like trees in a forest. With the right conditions, they naturally outcompete algae.
Top algae magnet
The top algae trigger is organic waste and decaying matter. Never over-stock a tank in its early months. Livestock waste contributes significantly to algae issues in new tanks (< 3 months old).
Regularly change water the 2Hr Way and remove old/ decaying leaves. Stem plants require replanting of the healthy tops after trimming once or twice. Old deteriorating stems invite algae to bloom.
The above shows the result of a single dose of APT Fix via spot-dose method. By Day 2, the inactive BBA would usually change color to red and/or white. These would either decompose, or serve as food for algae-eaters and other microorganisms. By Day 7, the leaf is now mostly free of algae.
The above shows the result of a single dose of APT Fix via the drain-dose method. By Day 2, the hair-algae has lost some of its green color. By Day 5, all the hair algae has been deactivated. You can remove it completely using a fine brush.
