| Content | ADA Green Brighty Neutral K by Aqua Design Amano is a potassium-containing liquid fertilizer for all aquatic plants in planted aquariums and aquascapes, which is particularly suitable for aquariums with soft or particularly hard water, because it does not affect the water hardness. ADA Green Brighty Neutral K is an aquarium fertilizer that provides aquarium plants with the vital macronutrient potassium (K) in a very targeted manner.
Potassium is needed by aquatic plants in the aquarium for energy production through photosynthesis, and the essential macronutrient is also involved in many metabolic processes in the plant. In nature, aquatic plants find virtually unlimited potassium in the water, and the potassium level in the aquarium must not drop to zero either. The potassium requirement of aquatic plants is almost as high as their nitrogen requirement. Especially in strongly lit aquascapes, the potassium requirement of plants in the scape is very high.
If aquarium plants have a potassium deficiency, this is noticed on the one hand by the yellowing of the leaves and on the other hand by punctual necroses. The tissue that dies here first turns black, later a small hole forms. Such necroses are often surrounded by a yellow border. Potassium deficiency can lead to stunted growth. Nutrient deficiencies can result in heavy algae growth - algae take advantage of nutrient gaps for themselves.
Aquarium plants like to store potassium generously in the plant tissue as a supply. It is best to add ADA Green Brighty Neutral K when the aquarium lighting is on, so that the plants can process the potassium directly.
The liquid fertilizer ADA Green Brighty Neutral K is not alkaline and also reliably supplies aquatic plants in soft water aquariums with the essential basic nutrient potassium. This aquarium fertilizer does not increase the buffering capacity of the aquarium water.
Application: To supply aquarium plants with sufficient potassium, add one pump stroke (equivalent to 1 ml) of ADA Green Brighty Neutral K per 20 l of aquarium water to the aquascape daily. In strongly illuminated, densely planted aquascapes, the potassium requirement may be increased. The amount of fertilizer can easily be increased to two to three pump strokes per 20 l of aquarium water.
For convenient dosing, a practical dosing pump is included with the 180 ml and 300 ml bottles.
Over time, the color may fade slightly, but this does not affect the effectiveness of the fertilizer.

AQUAFOREST Iron Boost is a professional easily absorbable iron fertilizer for aquatic plants. Iron takes part in a variety of metabolic processes, and above all, it plays an important role in the synthesis of chlorophyll – green pigment. Its presence conditions efficiency of photosynthesis. Iron absorption is dependent on the macronutrient and micronutrient content, as well as the pH and the iron itself. A common problem in aquariums is iron deficiency because its form may not be absorbed by plants. Iron deficiency leads to disappearance of chlorophyll, and consequently development of chlorosis manifesting as leaf yellowing and necrosis. Optimal concentration of iron in aquarium water should be 0.1-1 mg/l. AF Iron Boost contains a concentrated dose of easily absorbable Fe2+ iron chelate for aquarium plants.
HOW TO USE:
- 1ml AF Iron Boost per 100l water one time per week.
- 1 ml of AF Iron Boost dissolved in 100 liters of water increases the iron level by 0.04 mg/l.
- Fertilizer application should be continued until satisfactory results are achieved.
Recommended : parallel use with AF Micro and AF Macro.

AQUAFOREST PO4 Boost is a professional easily absorbable phosphorus fertilizer for aquatic plants. Phosphorus is a particularly important element for plants. A component of many types of proteins and enzymes, it also helps to build DNA. It is the main battery and energy conveyor in processes occurring within the cells. Phosphorus deficiencies are manifested by hindered plant growth and development, as well as leaf discoloration. The appropriate level of phosphates in the plant aquarium should be 0.5-1.5 mg/l. AF PO4 Boost is a formula which ensures the correct level of phosphate content in the aquarium.
HOW TO USE:
10 ml AF PO4 Boost dissolved in 100 liters of water raises the phosphate level by 0.4 mg / l.
Recommended : parallel use with AF Micro, AF N Boost, and AF K Boost.

High quality activated carbon granulate. Removes undesirable chemicals in aquariums, thus improving clarity of water. Recommended use of AF Carbon is only temporarily and for a short time, e.g. after treatment of fish, in the case of undesired residue in the tank or in the process of maturation of the aquarium. Thanks to the specially steam activated carbon, AF Carbon does not contain phosphate, is porous and, therefore, has a higher absorption capacity.
HOW TO USE:
Place in filter basket for 72 hours. After recommended time remove from the basket. Up to 600 l. AQUAFOREST Natural Substrate is a nutrient rich, peat and clay based substrate base for aquascapes and planted aquariums. Readily available micronutrients and plant food within it create a fertile, nature-like environment, ideal for long-time plant support and growth. AF Natural Substrate is well suited for the development of a healthy root system, and to help aquatic plants thrive. The peat and clay natural Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) will also absorb any excess nutrients from the water, and either make them available through the roots, or release them back into the water once it becomes depleted. Features and benefits: The carefully selected peat creates excellent conditions for the root system, and supplies plants with all the necessary minerals and trace elements. Clay improves the texture, and acts as the base, achieving excellent consistency. Similarly to peat – clay acts as a natural layer for storing excess nutrients, and maintaining biological balance in the tank. Micronutrient contents have been supplemented under laboratory supervision to make sure that aquatic plants have an abundance of trace elements, while the chemical balance of the tank stays in check.
WARNING:
AF Natural Substrate is rich in micro-nutrients, so for the first three months Aquaforest do not recommend the use of fertilizers containing micro-nutrients, unless the plants show visible signs of deficiency.
HOW TO USE:
- Spread the substrate on the bottom of the tank and compact it to achieve approx. 2-2.5 cm thick layer.
- Cover with about 3cm of gravel or sand.
- Gently fill aquarium with about 15 cm of water. In order to avoid disturbing the substrate, we suggest placing a plate or dish on the bottom, and directing the stream of water on to it.
- Place the plants in the substrate.
- Fill the aquarium with water.
